This 110 square meter holiday house is positioned within the inclined, volcanic landscape of the traditional town of Fira, in full harmony with Santorini’s particular landscape: With a nod to the medieval architecture of the island, the two-storey residence extends over parallel levels, adjusted to the old and densely built village in such a way so as to have unobstructed views of the Volcano in all its glory.

Built underneath the ground, the first level of the villa pays tribute to traditional techniques that follow the design style of vaulted ceilings and narrow façades. A bedroom with its bathroom complete with an indoor pool at arm’s reach from the king size bed are all the amenities needed for ultimate relaxation. Topping off the experience, a small open-air patio leads to the living room and the kitchen strategically positioned in the front of the house, for dinners underneath the moonlit sky.

Just a stone’s throw away is the second level of the villa, positioned four meters above the level of the first one, featuring a bedroom with amazing views and an en-suite bathroom. Wide, sliding windows lead out onto a balcony with panoramic views for lounging and dipping in the small outdoor pool. A second pool reflects the midday sun in the terrace of the first level’s living room, joining the two parts of the villa. Indoor and outdoor life blend effortlessly with the support of large openings and the use of white cement mortar in the walls and floors, both inside and out, a signature local technique that reflects the crisp glory of the summer months.
